As Promised

Today and yesterday we worked on the exterior garage walls until we ran out of 16 foot 2" x 6" boards...  Unfortunately (or fortunately) more are coming tomorrow.

This is what the house looks like from across the street.

Brayden still likes to "do it myself".

In the midst of all of this Morgan had her spring piano recital.  She played Falling Slowly and did a great job.

While we were at the recital... Russ and Brayden built my closet, linen closet, bathroom, bedroom, coat closet and shower walls.

These are the walls that we have left upstairs.  We ran out of nails today too!  I guess we will be sheeting exterior walls until the delivery trucks get here tomorrow!!!

I'm Behind!

I'm behind on posting about the house!  We just get so busy working that I forget to get the camera!  I will post what it looks like tomorrow.... tomorrow!

Here is our sad little raspberry bushes!  I have dreams of rows and rows!  Grandpas S. is going to give us more starts so we can have a row of blackberries too!

Russ' friend from work came and helped us out for a few hours!  The extra muscle power really helped out with those walls that were done but we hadn't lifted them up yet!

Yeah! It's finally here!

This is Meg's best effort at a hip hurrah jump!

3 graduations done... 2 more kids to go!

Congrats Meg... you did it!

Catching up!

It's been a little while but this is our nice new basement floor.

This is the 3rd car garage that will be used for Make and Takes.

Russ building the pony walls.

Ben came and helped us to set the floor joists!  Our fabulous neighbor helped us too!

Meg had her awards banquet. Wow this girl has accomplished so much already!

Went to Natalie & Chris' wedding!  I wonder if they have stopped grinning from ear to ear yet.

Sunday Meg had her seminary graduation... only one more to go!

Snake Hunters

Last weekend the kids found a gardeners snake nest.

Surprisingly Morgan is less squirmy about snakes than the rest of the kids.

I think sometimes Brayden has to act tough so he's not wimpier than his baby sister.

They ended up bringing home 9 or 10.... they said there was tons!!!  My only demand was that they be released far from our yard... its not fun to come across one while mowing the lawn!
