Steeneck Reunion 2013

August 2013 was a BUSY year!  Not only did we get our missionary home, building a new home, and move out of an existing home... we went on back to back family reunions!

Thanks to the Days who hosted this year!  They had it at the LDS Heber Valley Camp.  We stayed in cabins and had a very nice campground.

One of the activities was the zip line.  There were only a few wobbly moments.... but for the most part they raced each other to see how fast they could complete it!

Brayden

Morgan

This was another challenge course.... the guys had to do it after the girls and couldn't take the same course.

Then we did this one where we had to pass everyone through the web.  What a great way to get to know your new daughter in law!  :)

Meg was next, helped by her big brothers!

Ben got through in his own unique way!

Looking Good!

These pictures are taken the day he got the stitches on his face taken out.  That was just over a week ago.  It looks better each day.  At this rate I don't think it will need any plastic surgery!    :)

First day of School 2013

Morgan started her first day of eighth grade today!

She even helped a new seventh grader...

Admittedly these pictures were taken after she got home from school....  But I thought they turned out pretty good!

Warning... look away if you are squeamish!

Yesterday we got back from camping (which by the way I didn't even take one photo... if any of my sisters took pictures I would greatly appreciate a copy!)

Long story short... the table with my big glass cloche on the stand got kicked and it fell and broke on the table and then fell onto Brayden which he caught most of the broken pieces with his face!

Before pictures...  he cut his arm, thumb and multiple lacerations on his nose.

After our trip to the ER.  It is so nice to have the new ER close to our neighborhood!  We have used it twice in the last month!  He will most likely have to see a plastic surgeon in 6 months.

Hip Hip Hurray!

Zack got back this past wednesday from his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  It has been two years since we have seen our son.  We are so glad that he is back safe and sound!

First glimpse!

Back together again.

Our brickers are doing a fabulous job!  I love the bricked wrapped around to the garage door opening.  It means that we don't have to add stucco there or paint a wood trim EVER!

Insulation really changes the look of things.  It makes it quieter too!

Sheet rock delivery!  Yipee!

Lots of sheetrock all over the house... they finished the upstairs today and started on the basement.

What a wonderful sight,  it means we are done with our 4 way and we can take a little break... just in time for Zack to get home!

Some of the younger chickens have started to lay eggs.  This haul is in one day!
