Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was a great one!  Everyone was happy and healthy... and we had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Sandy!

This picture is too funny... but all too true!  It has been over two years since Zack has been home with his serving a LDS mission for our church and then going right up to school.  We have seen him for a weekend here and there, but nothing like these three weeks!  It has been great to have him home!  Brayden has been joined at the hip with him (thus the appropriate picture).  They have played games, built models and watched movies to their hearts content!  I'm afraid that Brayden will be a little lost puppy when Zack heads back to school next week!

What a great Christmas... was are so thankful for so many this this past year!  A healthy family, a new home, a returned missionary, a new daughter in law!  Wow!  WE are truly blessed!

Kitchen

Here are a few more picts of the kitchen... I need to take a close up of the backsplash...it's my favorite part!  We used a lantern tile from Homedepot.com and it is one of the first things that I bought for the house!  It wasn't fun to install... but I have access to  a fabulous handyman that comes dirt cheap!  :)

I do need to add more color to the upper cabinets... but I figure that will be a work in progress!

Office & Entry

Here are the Pictures of our office and entry way.  I still love my gray desk... maybe sometime down the road I will paint it another color.  For now though gray it stays.

Russ was wonderful and made my vision of a wall full of shelving happen...

It turned out great... hopefully soon I will have things cleaned and everything finished so I can take pictures of the final products!

Halloween 2013

So far this is the only costume picture that I have today...  I thought her costume turned out pretty good.

Catching up... Well sort of!

We are finally in our home!  We are not 100% done, but we are close.  I thought that I would show you some of the during pictures before I start posting the DONE pictures.

This is my office wall.  It definitely turned into a labor of love (maybe not)  I do LOVE how it turned out but it definitely was not fun to caulk and spackle all of the extra trim in the house.

The kitchen during pictures.  I LOVE these hanging pendents.  I wasn't sure they would be good but I am so glad that we put them in!

The back door mud room is looking good!  If only we can get the drinking fountain working well... it keeps leaking.  The repairman has been out and fixed it 3 times... maybe the fourth will be the charm.

Our wood tile in my bathroom is one of my favorite things that we did!

The finished brick arch turned out better than I could have imagined... and I love the rock tiers.

Megan and Russ are now professional railing installers.  It all looks so good!

We did a cement board product on the gables in the front and back of the house.  It ended up being a pain in the butt to install... but I love the look of it soooo much more than stucco would have looked.
