What a HOOT!

October FHE was at Erin's... it was sort of our Halloween party this year since we couldn't find a day that we could all get together before Halloween.  This is our attempt at a themed group costume.

Ben's B-Day

Ben turned 22 in October!  Way too much cake and goodies in October!   He chose Chocolate Chip Cheesecake with choc. chip cookies.

Meg's 18!!!

Meg turned 18 onWednesday!  She choose TGI Friday's for her birthday dinner.  Parmesan crusted chicken with mozzarella sticks for her appetizer.... YUM!

Because of Meg's bowling class Wednesday night we had her cake Thursday!  Dark chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip icing and peppermint ganache!!!!  Even I risked a stomach ache for this one!

I'm a little obsessed!

I have to admit I think I am getting a little obsessed around here!  I love the fall weather.  It is so fun to decorate for the holidays that are coming.  This time of year... not quite Halloween decorations... is perfect for my new growing collection of OWLS!    The pillow is a new design that I did for My Vinyl Designer .  I have really been having fun designing.  What a great opportunity!

This guy is new to my collection.  My friend had a Scentsy party last night and I did some vinyl for her yesterday and I got a sneak peak.  She happened to have this on hand so I snapped it right up!

This one I made for fall.  I got one kinda like it at Swiss Days and it was pink and springy... so I made my version of it for fall!

I love the little orange owl.  I found him at a garage sale and originally he was white... but the pop of orange brings balance to the table.

Unlucky Number Thirteen!

These lovely bumps are from the recent allergy testing that my doctor is doing.  Last weeks came out ok... only a little allergic to cats and mulberry bushes.  Today's testing has however put me into a major funk!  Check out unlucky number 13.  I have never been very superstitious, but todays results may make me a believer!  Any guesses what #13 is???  CHOCOLATE!!!  I am doomed!  Oh yeah... I am also a little allergic to milk.  Big Deal.

This year Brayden wanted to try TURNIPS.  He actually really likes them and he keeps trying to get the rest of the family to eat them with him!

It is a little weird how quiet it is around here today.  ALL of the kids are at school today... I have the whole house to myself!  With all of their crazy schedules, it isn't very often that it happens.  I think I will go and take a tub!  :)

Family Reunion

We had the annual Thomson reunion a couple of weeks ago... and sadly this one below is the only picture of the reunion.  My battery died right after we took pictures (I will have to download the ones off Meg's camera) at the Logan Temple (where we got to do 57 family names)  So much fun.  I'm not sure how much trouble aunt Laura got in for adding a PERMANENT marker Mustache!!!  The next day was church even.

It finally happened!

We got our first egg this week!  Russ said they better start laying bigger eggs or we would get a different kind of chicken.... Talk about pressure to perform!!!

I have a very crafty older sister... in fact she is the one that started all of 7 girls in my family crafting!  Unfortunately she is not a blogger (or I would give you a link to her blog).  I saw these cute gnomes at her house and knew that I wanted to make some.  The are out of the white , really light, air clay... I'm not sure what it is called!  I just molded them onto a nail waited for them to dry and  then painted them!

Zack is 20!

This is what Zack did for his 20th!  I cannot think of a better way for him to spend his Birthday!

 My week has been pretty good :) and my weekend was even better! :D  on saturday we got to go to a Tongan Ward conference. which was basically a feast with testimonies intermingled with it. There was SOOOOO much food. they sat us down and they kept piling food in the center of the table. I didn't try about half of it because there was a lot of fish. But i really like some of the tongan stuff like the roasted pig, Taro (a potatoish thing), boiled banannas, and they had a potato salad that had crab in it i think or something like that. It was way good :)  I tried something called Lu and I almost threw up XP it was not tasty at all. It is pig chunks and coconut milk wrapped in taro leaves and tin foil then i think its baked.... not good XD all the tongan elders laughed at me when I took a bite. my face probably looked really funny.

   then sunday we were trying to find a new place to street contact in our area and we found a rose park. It wasnt a good place to contact but there were TONS of roses! you could smell them just walking through the park. and there were some really cool looking ones too.

   The reason we were so pressed for time (and why I didn't email yesterday) is because "Misson President" gave our zone permission to go to santa cruz yesterday! :D  It was really fun. We had to take a bus there and back. The ride was about an hour and 15 minutes one way. We hung out on the beach and played volleyball in the sand. part of president's allowance of us going to the beach is we cant even touch the ocean so we stayed far away to avoid the temptation to soak our feet because it was really hot. So, it was a really unique p-day and it was lucky to be on my birthday! I had a lot of fun. oh, a member in this ward gave me a lavalava and I wore thataround on the beach ;) haha

It's official!

Morgan is officially 12!

They even sang to her at the restaurant...

But one of the greatest things about having a birthday during the summer... is that you get to have your cousin come and stay for a few nights!

Our trip to girls state!

The first week of June found our family in Cedar City.  We dropped Meg off at SUU for Girls State.

We did a puzzle that we got at the local DI.

Morgan did lots of reading.

We even took 5 minutes and drove through Cedar Breaks.  I had no idea that it was so small!

until Ben missed a turn and launched himself and the 4 wheeler off of this tree!!!  (if you zoom in you can see the gouges and tire marks!!!)

One goose egg, multiple scrapes and scratches, a jammed finger and various swollen body parts later... we decided to make a trip to the local hospital.  (He might of lost consciousness for a moment.)  Needless to say, that put an end to the 4 wheeling... Brayden had already rolled the Warrior earlier in the week!

Saturday afternoon we watched Meg graduate... look at her pretty dress.  She had been sick for the last few days and didn't even do her hair fancy.... It was good to be headed home!  I LOVE sleeping in my own bed!!!  How about you?

Fourteen is Great!

Fourteen is great!  Brayden got to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner on his B-Day!  I'm not sure that he would have made the same choice if he would have known their Birthday ritual though!!!

That Sunday he was also made a teacher... it was fun to have the Grandparents there and for lunch after!

Who gets the first Egg?

It should only be about a month until our chickens start laying eggs...  We finished up their coop this weekend and they finally started to go up into the coop!
